About EADD

The thought of an integrated digital dentistry is not new and in fact has deep roots in our daily professions, either as Dentists or Dental Technicians.

However, although more widely marketed in dental technology, oral rehabilitation and surgery fields, digital dentistry is an inevitability already widespread with an even greater predominance in other dentistry fields such as endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, occlusion among others…

It is nowadays clear and irrevocable that digital dentistry is here to stay in all areas and not only in the well marketed misconception of “Digital” as being a synonym of CAD/CAM dentistry, a buzzword used for everything…

Don’t get me wrong, CAD/CAM Dentistry is and will be one of the main focuses of our Academy’s work and the search for new technologies and applications in this field is a main concern together with making that gathered knowledge available allowing our associates to take informed decisions when acquiring or using this technology. However, in the EADD we believe “digital” is and can be so much more…

The answer is simple: YES, you are Digital! If you, as a dentist, use photography to plan, radiology in the form of 2D or 3D imaging, magnification, periodontal treatment with the aid of imaging or guides, endodontics with a simple apex locator or rotatory files, cutting edge orthodontics not only with aligners but also 3D planning and guided procedures, digital clinical management, among so many other daily common used technologies, you are already immersed in the digital world.

Allow us to improve your knowledge of those work tools and help us develop them to fit your current and future needs. Participate in actively in the European Academy of Digital Dentistry and join our members who are the most respected and well-known world references in dentistry, as well as the young proactive minds of a new generation that represent the future of dentistry and dental technology.
Change will not come if we wait for others or leave things for later. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for, because we are the change that we seek.

There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing, say nothing, and be nothing.

We decided to do, to say and to be!
So I urge you all to play an active role and shape the future of dentistry with us in the European Academy of Digital Dentistry!
